Episode 12: About our Guest

Kathleen Davis, Author of Brave

Kathleen Davis is a retired teacher, wife, and mother of two. She has her masters in Elementary Education and spent her career searching for and reading good children’s books to her students. Kathleen believes that books not only provide a fountain of information, but are also a way to enter a new world and completely change a perspective.

This Jacksonville mom wrote BRAVE in response to her two small children’s fears at bedtime. They were not brave, and in fact were terrified and waking up throughout the night. She thought there was no way that her children were the only ones dealing with these fears. BRAVE is meant to help inspire and encourage children to realize there is nothing to fear.

About BRAVE

Brave by Kathleen Davis

Brave is based on the real life experiences of a child who is scared of going to bed at night. This book is for every child and shows there is a super-hero within us and we have nothing to fear. Geared for kids ages 2-6, this book is a wonderful addition to your nighttime routine, particularly for kids who don’t love going to bed at night.
